On the morning of January 6, 2020, delegation from Lumbini Buddha Holy Land Charity Foundation (Hong Kong) visited Kaplivastu Historical site (Kaplivastu County, Lumbini) accompanied by local government officials.
In the Kaplivastu Reserved Site, the accompanying officials first gave a detailed and comprehensive introduction to Prince Siddhārtha Gautama 29 years of life, study and growth in Kaplivastu. Introduction: when Prince Siddhartha was 29 years old, he left his home at the east gate of the Kingdom and explored how to help people relieve their troubles and eliminate disasters. After more than six years of exploration, he finally became a Buddhist and founded Buddhism. When Prince Siddhartha became a Buddha, he went back to his hometown, Kaplivastu, to visit his father, wife and son. Prince Siddhartha left the east gate and Buddha Sakyamuni came back from the west gate.

In the afternoon, the local government hosted a banquet for the delegation and held lunch working talks with officials such as Dr. Liu Yang, member of the Ministry of external relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Nepal, expert on China issues, and the Lumbini development foundation directly under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal. Subsequently, the delegation was invited to Butwal, No. 5 province of Nepal to have in-depth and friendly exchanges with the Chief Minister of the province, Mr. Shanka Pokhrel, and the Deputy Minister, Prof. Dr. Ishwor Gautam. In his introduction, Chairman Yu emphasized: first of all, we are not here to preach, but to create the latest global model of economic development driven by Buddhist culture, fully tap and integrate the resources of the hometown of Lumbini Buddha, and leverage the economic development of Lumbini region and even the whole Nepal with Lumbini as the fulcrum. More than 2500 years ago, Lumbini gave birth to the great sage, Siddhārtha Gautama, who founded Buddhism and left great spiritual wealth for the whole world. Today in the 21st century, we take Buddhist culture as the link, create a new mode of economic development driven by religious culture, and make Lumbini great again! Focusing world’s attention to Lumbini as soon as possible. Realizing the vision of "Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali" put forward by the Prime Minister of Nepal.
Mr. Shankar Pokhrel, the Chief Minister of the province, and Prof.Dr.Ishwor Gautam, the Deputy Minister, were very excited after the introduction. They respectively expressed their strong support and full cooperation, and hoped that the charity foundation for the construction of the holy land of Lumbini Buddha would carry out work docking as soon as possible, so that they could report to the central government of Nepal. Both sides agreed that their respective special work teams should carry out work docking as soon as possible, so as to enable the project to start as soon as possible and complete all preparations in the early stage.
After the visit and exchange of Lumbini, accompanied by local government officials, the delegation arrived at Lumbini Buddha Airport that night and returned to Kathmandu on the flight of Buddha Airlines.
