On May 4, 2024, Mr. Yu Jingshan, Chairman of the Lumbini Buddha Holy Land Construction Charity Foundation, visited the Qianfo Pagoda Temple in Meizhou, Guangdong, China, which is known as the "Pearl of Lingnan", to pay homage to the Buddha. He had in-depth and comprehensive exchanges with the abbot, Master Shi Minghui, and focused on introducing the progress of the Lumbini Buddha Holy Land Construction Charity Foundation in the construction of projects such as the "Shakyamuni Buddha Ancestral Hall - Buddha Peace Square" in Lumbini, Nepal.
Upon hearing this, Master Shi Minghui stated that the Lumbini Buddha Holy Land Construction Charity Foundation has been persistently promoting a series of engineering projects for several years, with the goal of "welcoming the Buddha's soul back to his hometown and realizing his long cherished wish!" and has achieved gratifying results. Master Shi Minghui fully affirmed this act of kindness and stated that as a disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha, we should fulfill the Buddha's long-standing wish and return to our roots with all our heart and effort. Especially, your association has cooperated with Lumbini Buddhist University to establish the International Buddha Education Exchange and Continuing Education College, which is the best interpretation of promoting Buddhism. Our Buddhist College will also take the opportunity to carry out learning and exchange with Lumbini Buddhist University and the International Buddha Education Exchange and Continuing Education College.
After communication and exchange, accompanied by Abbot Shi Minghui, Chairman Yu Jingshan arrived at the nine story Thousand Buddhas Pagoda in the temple and rang the bell. The three rich bell sounds echoed throughout the temple and spread throughout the land.
