Chairman Yu Jingshan welcomes the President of Lumbini Buddhist University and his delegation to the ancient capital of China, Xi'an. Chairman Yu stated that Lumbini Buddhist University is a public comprehensive university with significant influence in Nepal and is one of the officially recognized Nepalese universities by the Chinese Ministry of Education. The Lumbini Buddha Holy Land Construction Charity Foundation (Hong Kong) is a legitimate organization registered and established in Hong Kong, China. Its aim is to promote Buddhist culture, develop and construct Lumbini through a "pilgrimage+tourism" model, and make Lumbini the first core holy land for global Buddhist worshippers to worship Shakyamuni Buddha. This will drive the rapid development of Lumbini's economy, promote comprehensive economic development in Nepal, and benefit the Nepalese people.
Subarna Lal Bajracharya, President of Lumbini Buddhist University, highly appreciates and affirms the plans of the Lumbini Buddha Holy Land Construction Charity Foundation (Hong Kong) to build a series of project plans in Lumbini, including the "Buddha Peace Square (Shakyamuni Ancestral Court)", "Reconstruction of the King of Pure Rice Palace", and "Lumbini Buddhist Cultural Tourism Economic Zone". This is a milestone project in Buddhist history and an immortal work that has benefited both contemporary and future generations. As a comprehensive university located in Lumbini, we are very willing to participate in the construction of this project and are willing to leverage our advantages to promote its early implementation.
Both sides have had effective communication around the deep integration of protecting the birthplace of Buddha, promoting and inheriting Buddhist culture, and promoting local economic development, improving people's livelihoods, and bringing benefits to the local people.
Both sides agreed to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership and reached a consensus on jointly establishing the "International Buddha Education Exchange and Continuing Education College of Lumbini Buddhist University" to attract global Buddhist believers for further education and exchange.
Professor, President of Lumbini Buddhist University Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya sincerely invites Chairman Yu to visit Lumbini Buddhist University in March 2024 and sign a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two sides. Chairman Yu happily accepts the invitation.
