Lumbini (Xisong Report) On May 24, 2023, a team of Lumbini Buddha Charity Foundation (Hong Kong), led by its president Mr. Yu Jingshan, flew from Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport to Lumbini by Buddha Air Nepal. After nearly 35 minutes in the air, we landed at Gautam Buddha International Airport, located in Bhairahawa, about 18 km from Lumbini, the birthplace of Shakyamuni Buddha, and regarded as the international gateway to Lumbini. Lumbini local government sent a special car to the airport to welcome the team to Lumbini Dream Gold Resort(DREAMLAND GOLD RESORT & HOTEL)。

In the evening, the Lumbini Provincial Government hosted a dinner for the working team at the hotel where they stayed. Bal Bahadur Acharya, Chairman of the Party School of Lumbini Province, former Member of the China Department of the International Relations Department of the CPC Central Committee, expert on China issues, Dr. Liu Yang of Lumbini Development Foundation under the direct control of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal, and other officials who attended the dinner held work talks with the working team at the same time. First of all, Dr. Liu Yang, on behalf of the participating officials, welcomed the Lumbini Buddha Sanctuary Construction Charity Foundation (Hong Kong) team to Lumbini again. Then, President Yu Jingshan visited Lumbini for the first time on January 5, 2020 by Chief Minister of Lumbini Province (formerly the 5th Province) Shankar. Once again, I would like to express my thanks to Mr. Bokerel and other officials for their warm reception. On May 22, 2023, Prime Minister of Nepal H.E. Prachanda received the working team and its delegation at the Prime Minister's Office, as well as the Prime Minister's approval and support of the Foundation's plan to build "Buddha Square (Sakyamuni Temple)" and "Lumbini Special Economic Zone for Buddhist Culture and Tourism" in Lumbini Province. At the same time, the project concept and planning are introduced in detail. After listening to the introduction, the officials at the meeting expressed their approval and appreciation, and unanimously said that they would report to the main leaders of the province and the city as soon as possible, promote the project to land in Lumbini as soon as possible, boost the economic development of Lumbini and Nepal, and benefit the Nepalese people.
